Activities
Overview
The week is roughly divided into 3 days of social activities and 2 days of competition. The general rundown is as follows, but is subject to adjustment each year.
Competition Events
The competitive portion includes the 24 hour-long case period on day 4 and final presentations on the last day. All students and advisors are briefed on the rules and procedures surrounding the case prior in the week.
Networking Events
The case competition strives to bring the academic and professional worlds together by allowing participants to meet with top business executives and sponsors at our networking events. These usually include the inaugural cocktail, featuring guest speakers and presentations. The social activities are opportunities for students to mingle and develop lifelong international networks. Meanwhile, the traditional Judges & Advisors Luncheon allows school representatives and members of the panel to meet a day before the final presentations.
Social Activities
At MMICC, teams are treated with a fun-filled succession of sightseeing, fine dining, nightlife, or other activities such as a scavenger hunt in Downtown Montreal or a day of snow tubing. While the level of competition is high, MMICC emphasizes the importance of developing contacts, and allows guests to experience the best of what Montreal has to offer. In true McGill fashion, our case competition is an invitation to work hard and party hard.
