It was an early wake up this morning for everyone. With an ambassador meeting at 7:45am and boarding the buses at 8:15, the snow tubing day started quite early. Luckily for us it was a nice morning, with a snow fall and nice weather.
However, once Up North, buses got lost a couple of times in Saint-Sauveur but everyone stayed optimistic about the day and all were very excited! Once everyone was on the hills and did a few slides, we all began throwing snow balls at each other. A few alliances were made and a few friendships were broken but it was all fun and games in the end. The ambassadors made a race down the hill 2 by 2 with a bet. The loser had to take off their coats completely and jump and roll in the snow. Unfortunately, the losers were Juliette and Anya. Once everyone was wet from head to toe, we headed inside to warm up next to the fire and had a sugar shack lunch in the cabin. Interesting conversations with many laughs is always a good way to have lunch.
After our big lunch, everyone started packing and then we headed outside. Little did we know, there was a stand with maple taffy. All participants looked amazed at how, in Quebec, we have this tradition of putting maple syrup on snow and rolling it on a stick to eat it just like that. Once back at the hotel, the teams went and visited the room they would present in. Afterwards, they went out for dinner with their advisor and strategized for the case crack, which begins in less than 24 hours !!!!!
